Today is the launch of the new magazine "koolkidz". My father provided the capital for my brother to set up jointly with his friends. I must say the idea is pretty refreshing but i don't know if it will work out in the end. Basically, it is made up mostly of advertisements, like clothes, food, toys etc. Very colourful and cool graphics. I think the only downside is the lack of readable content. I guess it wasn't made out to be a "knowledge" magazine, but more of a shopping experience packaged in the form of magazine. Although it didn't really appeal to me, perhaps because it's out of my age group and i don't have kids (of course), but hopefully, it will take off because my brother and his friends and put in a lot of effort in the design, concept and set-up of the magazine.

I helped out my brother at his launch today, giving out balloons and distributing the free magazines to familes. The response was fairly good and perhaps, i'll bring 1 copy to school let you all see and comment on it. =)
